Radio Mi Amigo International originated as a sister station of the Spanish station Radio Mi Amigo in Alicante, which covered the entire Costa Blanca via 2 local FM radio stations broadcasting 24/7 for -mostly German and English- expats and tourists.

The programs of Radio Mi Amigo International were broadcast in stereo between 2014 and 2016 via the FM stations in Alicante and via a web stream.

In 2016, the station got its own transmitter on 6085 kHz in the shortwave 49-meter 'Europa band'.
From the heart of Europe, this 6085 kHz shortwave transmitter has been on the air every day from 09:00 - 19:00 [CET] to this day, without interruption.
