Marc Hermans

Marc Hermans, in the 1980s, was well known in Flanders as one of the live deejays of the wildly popular Radio Maeva, the land based version of Radio Mi Amigo, an initiative of Patrick Valain and Patrick Hendrickx.

Marc, who was originally active in Antwerp as a deejay for Radio Benelux and Radio Brabo, ended up with the national pirate when Maeva took over the local radio station Brabo and used it as a relay station and second frequency for the Antwerp region.

A number of deejays, including Marc, moved from the local station to Maeva National in Brussels, a logical step. Initially, Marc took care of the nightly broadcasts, but he soon moved to the afternoon, where he joined the live team together with Ben van Praag (Mi Amigo) and Hugo De Groot / Arie van Loon (Caroline). The rest is history.

After the close of Maeva, Marc was active for many years in various local radio initiatives and networks on FM. Then followed by years of radio silence, until Eric Hofman unexpectedly involved him in a broadcast on Radio Mi Amigo International during a visit to the studio in Lint.

On Radio Mi Amigo International, Marc had his own show between August 2020 and September 2021.
